Pedestrian Accident Alert

Los Angeles, CA (June 16, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on the southbound 110 at the Carson Street overpass. The incident occurred around 3:42 AM, prompting an immediate response from emergency services and California Highway Patrol (CHP). The area was closed to traffic as authorities managed the scene and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. Details about the victim have not been disclosed as investigations continue. The CHP issued a SigAlert for the Carson Street onramp and nearby lanes, which were reopened later in the morning. Authorities are calling on witnesses and anyone with information to assist in the ongoing investigation.
